Heimtextil: materials for textile interiors
Heimtextil brings together home and contract textiles with textile design. Fabric collections, rugs and solutions for residential and hospitality interiors make Frankfurt a place to select materials and develop assortments. The 2027 edition runs from 12 to 15 January.
Who comes to Frankfurt, and why?
Textile manufacturers present their collections to the trade, interior designers and architects. Contract projects also require materials to be compared for specific interior schemes. Handle, texture, colour and the effect of light can be discussed directly with physical samples rather than on a screen alone.
A walk-through material library
For these conversations, we propose accessible fabric hangers, a generous sampling table and separate seating. Focused lighting reveals different textures, while clear routes keep the collection accessible during buyer meetings. These stand requirements are our design interpretation of the fair profile.

Our 48 m² corner stand for fictional exhibitor VELUNA FABRICS combines a curved light rear wall, a terracotta fin, a textile landscape and an oak sampling library. The open design puts fabrics and conversations first. This AI concept is an illustrative design, not a completed client commission.
